JETS, JCLUB and BAS Program
Supplementary Jewish education, otherwise known as JETS, JCLUB or BAS, takes place in various primary schools in Sydney.
The JETS (Jewish Education to School) curriculum is specifically designed for year K-2 and includes the Jewish calendar with its festivals and celebrations, Jewish beliefs and values as well as the laws and customs followed within Judaism. Lessons are enriched with activities like craftwork, songs, drama, music, events, storytelling, combined functions with Jewish day schools, synagogue and community interaction.
The JCLUB (Jewish culture, learning, understanding, belief) curriculum has been written for students in years 3 and 4 and focuses on the weekly Torah readings in a fun and stimulating program focussing on games, song and activities
Our senior students (years 5 and 6) progress to the ‘Bar/batmitzah at school’ (BAS) program. For two years the students are involved in projects culminating in their Bar or Bat Mitzvah and include the popular Project Heritage.
All curricula compliment and are in addition to the SRE classes whereby the students can learn more about their religion and get more involved with the Jewish community.
* There is a fee for the JETS program which is payable in advance per term.
