Shabbat Open Week BJE Bondi Hub
Register your child for a free trial at our BJE Bondi Hub! Open to students in Years K-6, sessions will run from 4:00pm to 5:20pm on Monday, 10 November and Thursday, 13 November. Mazal tov to Year 8 Killara High School student, Amit Manor, who achieved first place in the NSW Hebrew Writing Competition. Amitโs achievement is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and the amazing guidance of his Hebrew teacher, Morah Judit. This competition is organised and sponsored by The Hebrew Biblical and Jewish Studies Department of Sydney University, the JNF and The Suzanne Rutland Foundation and involves students submitting an essay on either of the following topics:
1. What I Learned from Failure?
2. I Imagine a Place Where...
3. Something that I`m proud of about my Jewish or Israeli identity.
Amit submitted an outstanding essay explaining why he is so proud of his Israeli identity. In addition to the certificate, Amit won a $100 voucher.๐โจ
Our Year 10 and 11 students came together to close out the week with a beautiful Havdalah. โจ

Our Head of Jewish Life, Ronnen Grauman, has been selected as the only Australian educator in the prestigious Shaโarim Program, led by the Israeli Ministry of Education and the Jewish Agency for Israel.
Ronnen recently joined the five-day seminar in Israel, connecting with passionate educators. The program brings together 43 Jewish educators from around the world โ from Mexico to the UK โ to collaborate, innovate and strengthen Jewish learning globally.
